CARSON Daly has revealed that a Today show co-host is being sent away for a gig in Texas.
He said that they would be the “perfect person” for the job.
On Monday’s show, Carson, 50, led the POPStart segment of the day.
He started out the segment with an announcement about a new show from Chip and Joanna Gaines.
“The home expert couple is back with a new series, Fixer Upper: The Hotel,” the Today host announced.
“For this one, Chip and Joanna are transforming a 100-year-old historic building near Magnolia market into a boutique hotel.”
Carson then proceeded to show a sneak-peek of the trailer.
The new show premieres Wednesday, November 8, on Magnolia Network.
“Next month, we’re going to get an inside look into that project, and hospitality as well. Jenna’s gonna head down to Wacko to pay the Gaines crew a visit,” Carson told his co-hosts.
“You’re not going to want to miss that. She’s going to be the perfect person for that job. For sure.”
His co-hosts agreed with him before he moved on to the next pop culture topic.
She was not present for the announcement.
Jenna Bush Hager, 41, was born in Dallas, Texas, and grew up there before her family moved into the White House.
She is also the host of Today With Hoda and Jenna, alongside Hoda Kotb, 59.

Speaking of growing up in Texas with her parents, she recently admitted that they gave up on her as a child.
Former President George W. and Laura Bush were completely fed up at one point in her youth.
She discussed her high school years amid the co-hosts’ conversation about the new A.I. yearbook trend on social media.
Jenna recounted the embarrassing photos one takes when they’re an adolescent, and even paid $10 alongside Hoda to have the EPIK smartphone app take their image.
The app generated 1990s-inspired yearbook snaps of the hosts.
Jenna disclosed that the A.I.-generated photo wasn’t completely similar to how she looked when she was younger.
“I loved picture day, but it’s so sad because if we actually had pictures of what we looked like, especially in elementary school,” she started.
“I was kind of chubby, and I had glasses.”
Producers then showed her real ninth-grade yearbook picture on the screen.
“I like your choker. Those were in. Everyone was wearing those,'” Hoda said.
Jenna went on: “I also wore this kind of dark purple lipstick.”
Hoda asked Jenna if her parents allowed her to wear the lipstick.
“[My parents] had just completely given up by that point. Eighth grade really put them over the edge,” Jenna admitted.

Carson recently revealed a detail about his marriage on air that Al Roker warned him to stop talking about.
On a recent episode, he admitted that he he sleeps downstairs, likely away from his wife, Siri Daly .
Carson said that the arrangement works for them.
Later on in the broadcast, during the POPStart segment, the anchors discussed Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith, who have been making quite a few headlines as of late with their separation news.
Carson brought up some of the comments Will made about his and Jada’s relationship.
“Will and Jada, come on down!” Al, 69, joked, inviting the pair to do an interview on the Today Show.
As the hosts discussed the specifics of Will and Jada’s arrangement, Carson made an admission.
“I’m sleep divorced, I sleep downstairs, I’ve never been happier!” he declared, which made the hosts bust out in laughter.
“Different strokes for different folks.”
“Maybe we should have stopped this 30 seconds earlier,” Al joked, turning to look at his co-hosts.
